The H-pattern and magnetic paddle shifter upgrade will come in June, but today I received the biggest change, the Fanatec DD2. I’ve had the two wheels since January in anticipation of this.
And yes, that is an emergency kill switch on the window sill. I’ve already used it several times.

Hmm, I hadn’t considered making a setup like this out of 80/20, how is it for rigidity? Looks good!
This is what we'll show whenever you publish anything on Kinja:

Podium DD2.....nice. Don’t break your wrists!
Have you had to use the kill switch due to glitches/infinite spin, or too many walls?

The iRacing IndyCar had an oscillation cascade even driving in a straight line, it took some experimenting but I turned down the strength and it went away. It was too much anyways.
When you hit a wall it can kick pretty hard, but it settles down when you stop.

I got the SimLabs P1, it’s solid as a rock.
An added bonus is that I can add flight controls too. You can see the throttle in that picture and I have a nightstand that I bring up on the right. For racing it’s where I put the mouse and I can also put a joystick on it to fly. Some day I’ll try to get rudder pedals, I’m hoping they’ll fit on the floor under/in front of the racing pedals.
